Noonan, Kenneth G.

ALBANY-Kenneth G. Noonan, 86, died suddenly Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Albany and a graduate of Philip Schuyler High School he was the son of the late John and Harriet (Voght) Noonan. Ken was a sales assistant and office manager for Gulf Oil Corporation for 37 years, retiring in 1983.
  Ken was dedicated to his family and his Church. He was an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church where he was a Church Elder and a past member of the school board. Ken was an avid walker who took full advantage of the trails at Five Rivers and the Corning Preserve. He also loved to play chess.
  Beloved husband of Faith (Rice) Noonan who he married on June 6, 1964; proud father of Ken R. Noonan of Albany; brother of the late Helen Noonan (the late Harris) Elmendorf; godfather of Jennifer Pedretti and Kenna Elmendorf Burns. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
  Funeral services will be held Monday, June 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany on
Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Schenectady.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ken’s name may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 75 Whitehall Rd., Albany, NY 12209.
