Giuffre, Palma “Pam”
December 20, 2011ALBANY- Palma “Pam” (Paolucci) Giuffre, 88, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Leone) Paolucci and a graduate of Cathedral Academy. Mrs. Giuffre was devoted to her family and her church. She was Sacristan at both St. James Church and Bishop Maginn Chapel. Mrs. Giuffre was an active volunteer at St. James Church and was a longtime member of the Rosary Society and Altar Guild.
Wife of the late Joseph I. Giuffre; mother of Mary Rose (Michael) Stapleton, Pamela (Bruce) Lombardi, Jo-Ann (Richard) Garrison, Carol (John) Nieckarz and Michele Giuffre. She is beloved grandmother of Richard Jr., Kimberly, Brian, Gregory, Nicolas, Sara, Drue, Peter, Amy and Justin; sister of John and Albert Paolucci, Lucy Bremm, Thomas Paolucci, Angela Riani and the late Joseph Paolucci. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 10:30 am. in St. Francis of Assisi Parish (formerly St. James Church), 391 Delaware Ave. There will be no public calling hours. Interment will follow the Mass in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. In lieu of flowers those who wish may send contributions to St. Francis of Assisi Parish Memorial Fund, 391 Delaware Ave., Albany, NY 12209.
