Ferland, Maurice G.

ALBANY- Maurice G. Ferland, 80, died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at home surrounded by his family. Born and educated in Quebec, Canada. He was the son of the late Josephe and Clara (Roberge) Ferland. Mr. Ferland was an electrician with IBEW Local #236 Electrician Union for over 30 years retiring in 2001.  He enjoyed playing golf, traveling and eating breakfast at McDonald’s.
He was husband of the late Carol (Jewell) Ferland. Survivors include his daughter, Veronica (Jaime Bobet) Waters of Albany; grandchildren, Christopher and Lisa Waters; his sisters;  Therese Ferland, Olevette (Philippe) Tremblay and Armande Ferland and brother Louis (Nicole) Ferland all of Quebec; also survived by other family members in Canada and NY. He was predeceased by his sister Lucille Ferland and brothers Fernand, Jean Claude, Jacques, Jean Baptist and Joseph Ferland.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 5-7 pm followed by a brief service at 7:00pm. Burial will take place in the Spring in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Northville, NY. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211.
