Evans, Florence E.

COLONIE-Florence E. (Schottenham) Evans “Cookie”, 81, died Friday, June 1, 2012 at her residence surrounded by family. Born and educated in Albany she was the daughter of the late Adam and Florence (Tibbitts) Schottenham. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Evans was a member of the Hudson German Shepherd Club. She was an avid fan of Engelbert Humperdinck, a fishing enthusiast and she enjoyed bingo, bowling and sewing.
  She was the wife of the late Robert J. Evans, Sr.; mother of Robert J. (Patti) Evans, Jr.; grandmother of Samantha R. Evans, Karen, Rachel and David Krill, Thomas (Jennifer), Jason and Christopher (Stevi) McLaughlin; great-grandmother of Matthew and Damien McLaughlin all of Latham; sister-in-law of Carolyn Evans of New Hartford, NY. She is also survived by several cousins.
  Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment, Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Florence’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern NY, Pine West Plaza, Bldg. 4, Suite 405, Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12205 or to St. Peter’s Hospice. 315 So. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
