SELKIRK- Lona W. Campbell, 77, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Born in Kinston, NC., she was the daughter Sallie Wiggins and the late McKinley Wiggins. A longtime member of St. John-St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, she worked as a legal secretary for the office of the Attorney General of New York, retiring in 1997. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Campbell, Sr. Survivors include her mother, Sallie (Farrow) Wiggins, a resident of St. Peter’s Nursing Home; four children, Robert and Kenneth of Selkirk, Sally Campbell-Lee (Charles) of Chicago, IL and Charles of Selkirk; and two grandchildren Christopher and Shelby Lee.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 18, 2011 from 5-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave., Albany.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 10:30 am in St. Francis of Assisi Parish South End Site (Formerly St. John’s-St. Ann’s Church) corner of Fourth Ave. and Franklin St. Albany. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont, NY.
